Building and publishing
One command
tobar-segais bundle ./docs --out ./content
That converts every .adoc page, converts nav.adoc into the navigation
document, and writes a zip named from the slug and version the bundle
declares.
What the tool runs
Pages are a plain invocation:
asciidoctor -o page.html page.adoc
Whatever Asciidoctor wraps the content in — the head, the embedded
stylesheet, the footer with its "Last updated" timestamp — is removed
afterwards. The title survives, because in full output it is already an
<h1>.
The navigation document is converted whole, because its head is the point:
asciidoctor -a docinfosubs=attributes -o nav.html nav.adoc
Asciidoctor embeds a complete stylesheet in every full document. The tool strips stylesheets from the generated HTML afterwards, so no flag is needed to suppress something that would only be discarded.
Publishing
Write the bundle where the server is watching:
tobar-segais bundle ./docs --out /srv/docs
The server notices within moments. There is nothing to restart.
Assets
Images and other files next to the sources are copied into the bundle with their layout intact, so relative references from a page keep working.
